Application of Wear-resistant Ceramics in the Cement Industry

Oct. 09, 2018

Wear-resistant ceramic is an inorganic non-metallic wear-resistant material. It is a corundum ceramic made of high-purity alumina (purity of >92% a-Al2O3) as a main raw material, adding various rare elements and sintering at a high temperature of 1700 °C. The density is 3.6g/cm3, which is less than half of the steel material; Rockwell hardness can reach HRA80-90, second only to diamond, with super high wear resistance and excellent impact resistance. According to the working conditions of the equipment, it can meet the anti-wear technical requirements, and can ensure smooth operation under the temperature of -50 °C with 750 °C without aging or falling off. The technology can effectively inhibit the growth of crystals, reduce the generation of internal voids, and form a very dense sintered material. The three core elements of high wear resistance, heat resistance, and excellent impact resistance are selected as raw materials (select high purity a -Al2O3 and crystal growth inhibitor), preparation of powder (using advanced powder preparation process to ensure uniform distribution of granulated powder particles and good fluidity), sintering (strict molding sintering process and precision) The temperature control), these are the key to ensuring the performance and application of wear-resistant ceramic technology, even if the material use temperature reaches 1600 °C, it will not deform, and the wear resistance is almost no loss, the working surface is smooth, and the friction coefficient is small. The unique toughening formula forms a strong crystal bond, which greatly enhances the impact toughness and prolongs the service life.

The high-temperature resistance of wear-resistant ceramics is unmatched by metal anti-wear materials. Its lightweight can greatly reduce the operating load of the equipment. After use, it can increase the life of the wearable parts of the equipment by more than 10 times. In the actual production process, it is an effective way to improve the service life of the wearable ceramic materials according to the working environment of the equipment.

We have Wear-Resistant Alumina Ceramic Tube, Wear-Resistant Zirconia-Alumina Brick,etc..

Wear-resistant ceramics are widely used in the anti-wear parts of industrial production equipment such as cement, electric power and steel because of their excellent technical performance, and have achieved good technical and economic effects.
